The prices were very affordable, offering great value for the quality of food served. I enjoyed the wrap so much that I ordered two more to take home. The falafel was fresh, fried right In front of me, and the sandwich had the perfect ratio of all of the toppings. The prices were pretty average just like anywhere else. I also got mixed sambusek to go. Besides the food, their hospitality was so nice and welcoming. I had a nice convo with the ladies there. I will definitely go back to try more of their food. ”

Arze in Üsküdar offers a delightful mix of Levantine cuisine, a welcome change from the typical Lebanese fare. However, the experience had its highs and lows. Cozy but Cramped: The restaurant itself is small and charming, creating a cozy atmosphere. However, for improved comfort, more spacious seating would be a welcome change. The limited space did feel a little cramped, especially during busier times. Value for Money (Almost): Almost as it isn't exactly on point but , The price point for the food was reasonable, especially considering the high quality. However, the portions could be slightly larger to truly feel satisfying. Falafel & Friends: The falafel were excellent – crispy on the outside, soft and hot on the inside, just the way they should be. The Spanish pastries were also a delightful treat. The roka salad was fresh and enjoyable. However, the muhamara, a roasted red pepper and walnut dip, needed a bit more oomph. It was a touch too light on flavor. A slightly bolder taste profile would have elevated the dish. A minor improvement for the tahini sauce would be to provide it in a more saucy consistency, perhaps with a touch of water or lemon. Respectful Ambiance: One aspect of the experience left a negative mark. The waiter's attitude towards the women working in the kitchen, particularly those who might not speak perfect Turkish or are new, was disrespectful. These women are the heart and soul of Arze, crafting the delicious food enjoyed by patrons. They deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. Missing Explanations: The menu would benefit from including brief descriptions of each dish. This would be helpful for customers unfamiliar with Levantine cuisine, allowing them to make informed choices. Overall: Despite some shortcomings, Arze offers a delightful taste of Levantine cuisine with high-quality ingredients. With some improvements to portion size, waiter attitude, and menu explanations, Arze could become a truly exceptional spot. Special thanks to the talented women creating delicious food in the back!
